*Call to Worship

Psalm 100:1-2, 5

Make a joyful noise to the LORD, all the earth! Serve the LORD with gladness! Come into his presence with singing!

For the Lord is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations.

*Opening Prayer

*Praise to the Lord

Joachim Neander

Praise to the Lord, the Almighty, the King of creation! O my soul, praise Him, for He is thy health and salvation! All ye who hear, now to His temple draw near; Praise Him in glad adoration.

Praise to the Lord, who over all things so wondrously reigneth, Shelters thee under His wings, yea, so gently sustaineth! Hast thou not seen how all thy longings have been

Granted in what He ordaineth?

Praise to the Lord, Who doth prosper thy work and defend thee; surely His goodness and mercy here daily attend thee. Ponder anew what the Almighty can do, if with His love He befriend thee.

Praise to the Lord, O let all that is in me adore Him! All that hath life and breath, come now with praises before Him. Let the Amen sound from His people again, Gladly for aye we adore Him.

*Agnus Dei

Michael W. Smith

Alleluia, Alleluia, for the Lord God Almighty reigns. Alleluia, Alleluia, for the Lord God Almighty reigns. Alleluia.

Holy, Holy, are You Lord God Almighty. Worthy is the Lamb, worthy is the Lamb. You are holy, holy are You Lord God Almighty. Worthy is the Lamb, worthy is the Lamb.

Confession of Faith

The Athanasian Creed (part 1)

Whosoever will be saved, before all things it is necessary that he hold the catholic faith. Which faith except everyone do keep whole and undefiled, without doubt he shall perish everlastingly. And the catholic faith is this: That we worship one God in Trinity, and Trinity in Unity, neither confounding the persons, nor dividing the substance.

For there is one Person of the Father, another of the Son, and another of the Holy Spirit. But the godhead of the Father, of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, is all one, the glory equal, the majesty co-eternal.

Such as the Father is, such is the Son, and such is the Holy Spirit. The Father uncreated, the Son uncreated, and the Holy Spirit uncreated. The Father incomprehensible, the Son incomprehensible, and the Holy Spirit incomprehensible. The Father eternal, the Son eternal, and the Holy Spirit eternal.

And yet they are not three eternals, but one Eternal. As also there are not three incomprehensibles, nor three uncreated, but one Uncreated, and one Incomprehensible. So likewise the Father is Almighty, the Son Almighty, and the Holy Spirit Almighty.  And yet they are not three almighties, but one Almighty.

So the Father is God, the Son is God, and the Holy Spirit is God.  And yet they are not three gods, but one God. So likewise the Father is Lord, the Son Lord, and the Holy Spirit Lord. And yet not three lords, but one Lord.

Tithes and Offering

1 Chronicles 16:29

“Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name; bring an offering and come before him! Worship the Lord in the splendor of holiness;”

*Holy, Holy, Holy

Hillsong United

Holy, Holy, Holy Lord God Almighty. Early in the morning, our song shall rise to Thee. Holy, Holy, Holy merciful and mighty, God in three persons blessed Trinity.

Holy, Holy, Holy Lord God almighty. All thy works shall praise Thy name in earth sky and sea. Holy, Holy, Holy merciful and mighty,

God in three persons blessed Trinity.

Holy, we cry holy. [x4]

*Mercies Anew

Sovereign Grace Music

Every morning that breaks there are mercies anew. Every breath that I take is your faithfulness proved. And at the end of each day, when my labors are through, I will sing of Your mercies anew.

When I’ve fallen and strayed there were mercies anew, for you sought me in love and my heart you pursued. In the face of my sin

Lord, You never withdrew. So I sing of Your mercies anew.

And Your mercies, they will never end. For ten thousand years they’ll remain. And when this world’s beauty has passed away Your mercies will be unchanged.

And when the storms swirl and rage there are mercies anew. In affliction and pain You will carry me through. And at the end of my days, when Your throne fills my view. I will sing of Your mercies anew. I will sing of Your mercies anew.

“Mercy That Is Deeper Than Misery”

Genesis 29:31-35:29

  1. The Mercy of God
  2. The Misery of Jacob
  3. The Mind of Faith

*Great Is Thy Faithfulness

Thomas Chrisholm

Great is Thy faithfulness, O God my Father; There is no shadow of turning with Thee; Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not; As Thou hast been, Thou forever will be.

Great is Thy faithfulness. Great is Thy faithfulness. Morning by morning new mercies I see. All I have needed Thy hand hath provided; Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me.

Summer and winter and springtime and harvest, sun, moon and stars in their courses above, join with all nature in manifold witness, to Thy great faithfulness, mercy and love.

Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth, Thine own dear presence to cheer and to guide; strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow, blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside.

Confession of Sin

Paradoxes from Valley of Vision

O Changeless God, Under the conviction of the Spirit I learn that the more I do, the worse I am, the more I know, the less I know, the more holiness I have, the mores sinful I am, the more I love, the more there is to love. O wretched man that I am!

Assurance of Forgiveness

Psalm 103:8, 10-12

The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in lovingkindness. He has not dealt with us according to our sins, nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is His lovingkindness toward those who fear Him. As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.

The Lord’s supper

*Benediction & Doxology

Praise God from whom all blessings flow; Praise him, all creatures here below; Praise him above, ye heavenly host: Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Amen.
