Christianity Explored (CE) is an informal introduction to Jesus Christ and to the Christian gospel (good news). CE is a seven-week course, and weekly meetings include a meal, a Bible study, a discussion time and informal fellowship. The meetings begin with a meal at 6:00 on Thursday evenings. For more information including location and directions, please contact us.
Everyone is welcome – from the most sympathetic church goer to the convinced atheist. We shall respect your background, and you can tell us as little or as much about yourself as you feel comfortable. Contact us if you would like to find out more. You can also learn more about the CE program material online at www.christianityexplored.org.
Here are some Q and A items about CE:
Q. What goes on?
A. The evening begins with a good meal. After the meal, there is a brief discussion on the course material from the week before, then a Bible study with discussion, and a 20-minute talk on the theme for that week. The group discusses the questions from the video and any others that have arisen, and the evening ends at about 8:00 pm. Of course, if you’d like, you’re welcome to stick around a bit longer for a coffee to discuss any further issues you might have. And you can ask any question you want, at any time during the course.
Q. How long does the course last?
A. The course runs for 7 weeks, including an optional day away.
Q. Can I pull out if I want to, or come after the first week?
A. Of course you can.
Q. How much does the course cost?
A. Nothing.
Q. Do I have to bring anything?
A. No, all course materials are provided.
