In order to help you prepare your heart for worship this Sunday I wanted to get you the bulletin and song selections a little early. You can download the printable bulletin if you prefer.
You should be familiar with most of the songs, but I really want you to hear “Comfort, Comfort Now My People” before Sunday. It is a song with lyrics taken right out of our passage, Isaiah 40:1-5. I encourage you to try to sing it during your Family Worship so your children will be familiar with it as well.

Confession of Faith
Westminster Confession of Faith 8.2
The Son of God, the second person of the Trinity, being very and eternal God, of one substance and equal with the Father, did, when the fullness of time was come, take upon Him man’s nature, with all the essential properties, and common infirmities thereof, yet without sin; being conceived by the power of the Holy Ghost, in the womb of the virgin Mary, of her substance. So that two whole, perfect, and distinct natures, the Godhead and the manhood, were inseparably joined together in one person, without conversion, composition, or confusion. Which person is very God, and very man, yet one Christ, the only Mediator between God and man.

O Come Let Us Adore Him
Matt Redman
O come let us adore Him
O come let us adore Him
O come let us adore Him
Christ the Lord
For You alone are worthy
For You alone are worthy
For You alone are worthy
Christ the Lord
We’ll give You all the glory
We’ll give You all the glory
We’ll give You all the glory
Christ the Lord
What Child Is This
What child is this, who, laid to rest,
On Mary’s lap is sleeping?
Whom angels greet with anthems sweet,
While shepherds watch are keeping?
This, this is Christ the King,
Whom shepherds guard and angels sing:
Haste, haste to bring Him laud,
The babe, the son of Mary.
Why lies He in such mean estate,
Where ox and ass are feeding?
Good Christians, fear, for sinners here
The silent Word is pleading.
Nails, spear shall pierce Him through,
the cross be borne for me, for you.
Hail, hail the Word made flesh,
the Babe, the Son of Mary.
So bring him incense, gold, and myrrh,
Come, peasant, king, to own him.
The King of kings salvation brings,
Let loving hearts enthrone him.
Raise, raise a song on high,
The virgin sings her lullaby
Joy, joy for Christ is born,
The babe, the Son of Mary.
This, this is Christ the King,
Whom shepherds guard and angels sing:
Haste, haste to bring Him laud,
The babe, the son of Mary.
O Come, O Come Emmanuel
O Come, O Come Emmanuel
And ransom captive Israel,
That mourns in lonely exile here
Until the Son of God appear.
Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
Shall come to thee, O Israel.
O come, Thou Day-spring, come and cheer
Our spirits by Thine advent here;
Disperse the gloomy clouds of night,
And death’s dark shadows put to flight.
O come, Thou Rod of Jesse, free
Thine own from Satan’s tyranny;
From depths of hell Thy people save,
And give them victory over the grave.
Comfort, Comfort, Now My People
Page CXVI
Comfort, comfort now my people
Tell of his peace with no end
Comfort, comfort those in darkness
Tell them that God’s pardon waits for them
The Glory of the Lord now on earth is shed
In deserts far and near he will raise what’s dead
His peace has now been spoken
His word is never broken
The Kingdom of our God is now here
Straight shall, straight shall be what’s crooked
Making all the rougher places plain
Let your, let your hearts be humble
Befitting our God’s glory and his reign
Let the valleys rise to meet him
The hills all will bow down
Let the valleys rise to greet him
the hills bow down in praise
Let the valleys rise to greet him
the hills bow down in praise
Glory In the Highest
Chris Tomlin
You are the first
You go before
You are the last
Lord, You’re the encore
Your name’s in lights for all to see
The starry host declare Your glory
Glory in the highest (3x)
Apart from You there is no god
Light of the world
The Bright and Morning Star
Your name will shine for all to see
You are the one
You are my glory
And no one else could ever compare
To You, Lord
All the earth together declares …
Glory in the highest … to You, Lord
All the earth will sing Your praise
The moon and stars, the sun and rain
Every nation will proclaim
That You are God and You will reign
Glory, glory hallelujah
Glory, glory to You, Lord
Glory, glory hallelujah
Hallelujah
