Happy New Year from Grace Clovis

Happy New Year from Grace Clovis

Happy new year from Grace Clovis
As 2014 comes to a close this week, we have a lot to be thankful for. It has been a good year for Grace Clovis.

We Are A Church In Clovis

We have moved out of our home and into the location in Old Town Clovis. Not only are we a church in Clovis, but we are a church in the heart of Clovis. We love the fact that our church is located on Pollasky and Eighth where people throughout the year line up for Big Hat Days, ClovisFest, Farmers Market, Clovis Children’s Electric Christmas Parade, and various other events on the Old Town Clovis Calendar. We love being a part of a city that has so many community activities.

We Have A Music Leader

This was an answer to a prayer we have had since we first started gathering in 2013. Since April of this year, we have had 5 different music leaders. But now, we are beginning to form a team. In August, we found Vanessa, a great singer and pianist who is very familiar with traditional hymns as well as many of the modern hymns such as those by Getty/Townend, Sovereign Grace Music, and Indelible Grace Music. And her husband, Scott, accompanies on a cajon (simple percussion).

We are still looking for qualified candidates who agree with our theological positions and philosophy of music and have a desire to sing and/or play an instrument on the music team.

We Have A Growing Fellowship

Grace Clovis Attendance 2013-2014Although we have said goodbye to good friends, we have said hello to many new friends. I don’t often focus on the numbers in attendance at the church plant because of the temptation to view that as the only determining factor of success. A healthy church can shrink and a sick church can grow. I’m fully aware that our numbers are not of the explosive variety that would qualify me to write a book on church growth. That’ll have to wait for a few more zeroes. These metrics are simply a helpful tool for analyzing my ministry. And I hope the information is edifying for you. I’m so grateful for all of your prayers and support. I’m running out of language to express my gratitude!

We are very excited about what the Lord has in store for us in 2015. Subscribe to our prayer updates if you would like to stay informed on all the Lord is doing in and through Grace Clovis. I look forward to serving Him alongside each of you. Thank you all for being a part of it! May the Lord bless our church for many years to come.
